چکیده

The mixed pixel of low-resolution remote-sensing image makes the traditional water extraction method not effective for small body extraction. This study takes Loess Plateau with complex terrain as research area and develops a multi-index fusion threshold segmentation algorithm (MFTSA) large-scale based on GEE (Google Earth Engine). MFTSA uses AWEI (automated index), MNDWI (modified normalized difference NDVI (normalized vegetation index) EVI (enhanced synergy to extract bodies. It also slope data generated by SRTM (Shuttle Radar Topography Mission digital elevation model) NIR band reflectance eliminate suppressing high reflectivity noise shadow noise. An was proposed results showed that: (1) overall accuracy 98.14%, correct rate bodies 92.82%. (2) Compared index methods classification methods, could higher integrity clearer more accurate boundaries. (3) used total 69,900 Plateau, accounting 97.63% bodies, 482.11 square kilometers, 16.50%

Health Assessment of a Small Watershed on the Loess Plateau

A health ecosystem is the aim of building a nice Loess Plateau with green mountain and clear river. This paper, taking Zhifanggou small watershed as an example, by using the AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) selecting the woodland and pasture cover, area of fundamental cropland, soil anti-scourability, soil organic matter, output/input, crop yield, net incomes of per capita and benefit of reduci...

Distribution map of the different lithologic units in loess plateau of eastern Golestan by using remote sensing technique; Aghband research area

Introduction: Along with the climate, Soil is an essential natural resource. Although soil studies in Iran have been started more than 50 years ago, the soil map of the country has not been fully prepared yet, and only 20-25% of the lands have been mapped already. Many soil maps of Iran need to be updated, but the common methods in soil mapping are costly and time-consuming. Hence, using data o...

Impacts of Re-Vegetation on Surface Soil Moisture over the Chinese Loess Plateau Based on Remote Sensing Datasets

A large-scale re-vegetation supported by the Grain for Green Project (GGP) has greatly changed local eco-hydrological systems, with an impact on soil moisture conditions for the Chinese Loess Plateau. It is important to know how, exactly, re-vegetation influences soil moisture conditions, which not only crucially constrain growth and distribution of vegetation, and hence, further re-vegetation,...

Monitoring of Polluted Water Bodies by Remote Sensing

The purpose of this study is to evaluate a remote sensing method for real time monitoring of wastewater effluent. Reflectance in the range from 400 to 950 nm with a spectral resolution of 2 nm, simultaneously with turbidity, chlorophyll and total suspended matter contents were acquired in two wastewater systems: RUm and Naan, Israel. The reflectance spectra of wastewater effluent were investiga...

The Loess Plateau

The Loess Plateau (34°–40°N, 103°–114°E) is situated in the northern part of Central China (Fig. 2.1). It borders on North China Plain in the east, adjoins Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in the west, stands in the north of Qinling Mountains, and neighbors Inner Mongolia Plateau in the north. The Loess Plateau is a part of the dryland region in northwest China, with its altitude in the range of 800–3000 ...
